Maureen Miner
lectures in the School of Psychology at the University of Western Sydney, Australia
and is a practicing clinical psychologist.
Her undergraduate degree was in science (University of New South Wales),
her master’s degree in clinical psychology (Macquarie University) and her
doctorate in psychology (University of Western Sydney). Her main areas of research and teaching are
in the psychology of religion and ethics.
She is chair of the Local Societies Initiative group the UWS Psychology
and Spirituality Society. From 2003-2005
she was a participant in the Templeton Oxford Seminars for studies of science
and Christianity and previously won a CTNS (Centre for Theology and Natural
Sciences) Science and Religion Course award and course development award for
her teaching of psychology and religion.
Her current research projects relate to religion/spirituality and
psychological health.
