Angela Ilić is currently pursuing her PhD in Religion at Temple University in Philadelphia, where she also works part time at the Dialogue Institute, the outreach arm of the Journal of Ecumenical Studies.

She has an undergraduate degree in journalism, and an M.A. in European Studies from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. Her academic interests include interreligious dialogue, church and state relations in Eastern Europe, ethnic minorities and human rights. She has taught in several countries on topics ranging from research writing to current European issues, and has presented papers at international conferences, such as the American Academy of Religion and the International Ecumenical Seminar in Strasbourg organized by the Lutheran World Federation.

Angela has written one book in Hungarian, and has published a number of articles in books and various journals in the USA, UK, Belgium and Serbia.
