Suzanne Brody is a rabbinical student at the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies of the American Jewish University in Los Angeles, CA. A graduate of Wellesley College, Dr. Brody received her PhD in neuroscience from UCSD (The University of California – San Diego), where she did research on the biology underlying schizophrenia. Following receipt of her PhD, Dr. Brody spent three years living in Jerusalem and studying at the Conservative Yeshiva. Her first book of poetry, Dancing in the White Spaces, celebrates a love of Judaism through poems about Shabbat and Torah and her current work includes an examination of the issue of infertility as presented in the Tanach as well as an exploration of the many intersections between science and Judaism. She is fortunate to be joined on her life’s journey by her husband Marcus, and is blessed to be the mother of Meital and Hillel.
