Augustine Shutte

Dr. Shutte is an Honorary Research Associate in the Philosophy Department of the University of Cape Town.  Dr Shutte's main areas of interest are philosophy of religion, philosophical anthropology, ethics and contemporary Thomist philosophy.  

Publications: articles in International Journal of Philosophy, Philosophy, New Blackfriars, Philosophical Papers, Modern Theology, SA Journal of Philosophy.  Books: The Mystery of Humanity;  Philosophy for Africa;  Ubuntu: An ethic for a new South Africa;  The Quest for Humanity in Science and Religion;  Deeper Dialogue Between Religions;  South Africa's Common Good.
