With a core planning group of six members and a larger base of over thirty scholars representing over twenty disciplines, this society convenes monthly to explore a wide range of topics. These topics include the history of science, evolution, science and religion dialogue in an African context, Western science and religion in Africa, environmental concerns related to the science-faith discussion in Africa, African cosmology and evolution, science and African cultural beliefs, and much more. In addition to local advertising, the group invites participation from surrounding institutions representing multi-faith perspectives. To involve students, the society offers courses, fieldtrips, and an essay competition. Support for this society is provided by NASTRENS and the University of Ilorin.
