Dr. Lawrence Ogbo Ugwuanyi, Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria, is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy and Pioneer Acting Head of Department of Philosophy and Religion, University of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria. He holds a B.A (Hons) in Philosophy from Urban University, Rome, the M.A of the University of Nigeria and a Ph.D in Philosophy of the University of Ibadan. He was a lecturer at the Department of Philosophy, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Nigeria (1994- 2003) and Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at Delta State University Abraka, Nigeria (2003-2006).

Author of academic 22 publications in many articles in academic journals and anthologies Dr.Ugwuanyi is the only African scholar published in Unveiling the Real Terrorist Mind (2002), a worldwide collection of over 60 peace scholars in response to 9/11/01 terrorist attack on the USA.He was first published at 20 with philosophical/motivational treatise entitled Success in Life which sold over 15,000 copies in the first edition,, closely followed by Peace of Mind (1991) which sold 10,000 copies, Life is a Treasure (1996), Elements of Philosophy and Logic (1997(Co-author), Qualitative University Education (1998).He was a Visiting scholar at the Institute for Gender Studies, University of South Africa in 2005 and has participated in several international conferences in South Africa, Burkina Faso and Cote de Voire.South Korea and Brazil.

He has contributed to The Nigerian Observer Newspaper, FOCUS, a Delta Rainbow Television Program on development, Daily Independent, another ï¾ prominent Nigerian daily,and at the moment is a regular guest to Viewpoint: a Radio Nigeria program on development matters. He coordinates the Nigerian section of the World Education Fellowship (WEF), an international NGO rated in UNESCO category B.
