Arrive at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). This airport is located three miles east of the central business district of Phoenix, AZ and is only ten minutes from the Tempe Mission Palms.

Transportation from Airport
Hotel Shuttle - The Tempe Mission Palms provides complimentary airport transportation to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport located just 4 miles from the Hotel. Shuttle Transportation is available from 5:30 am to 10:30 pm. Upon arrival, contact the hotel to request shuttle transportation.
Taxis - Taxis are also available. Taxi terminal access is as follows: Terminal 2: North curbside, Terminal 3: North curbside and Terminal 4: Level 1, north curbside.

Conference Registration
Attendees should plan to arrive before 4 PM on Saturday, July 18, 2009. There will be a bus trip to the Heard Museum departing at that time.

Weather
July is one of the hottest months in Phoenix, but it is not humid. Minimum Temperatures are around 24ºC (75ºF), with maximum temperatures around 39 ºC (102 ºF). Actually it could get quite hot, even in the evenings, but the weather is unpredictable and some cooler weather could also be possible. Due to heavy air-conditioning in most public places it is good to have a light jacket at hand. Rain is not probable in July, but sometimes there might be a quick summer storm. Casual business to everyday casual clothing and good walking shoes (especially for the tour at the Heard Museum) are recommended. You may wish to bring an alarm clock and an umbrella.
