This society boasts a stellar group of academics among its members. This seemingly tireless group has held over 25 faculty seminars to a combined audience of over 1000, and 28 public lectures with a combined audience of over 5000. Titles include: “On Scientific Approaches to Human Consciousness and Implications to Taoist Religion,” “Cloning of Human Beings and Self-Awareness,” “Frontier Problems in Bioethics,” “The Dilemma with the Eternal Soul,” “Soul, Mind, and Spirit,” “Pluralist Wisdom for Personal Life,” and many more. In addition, they have held four major international conferences. Members of the society have appeared on various television programs and have had write-ups in major newspapers. They have a developing website, are working on translation projects, and are organizing teacher training and textbook development in support of science and religion education. They are networking with other national and international organizations, and have tapped into the wider LSI network for speaker engagements and other collaborations. Their hope is to develop their society into a full-fledged center on science and spirit.
