Request for Proposals: Targeted Top Research Universities

Applications will be accepted from outstanding research universities worldwide. For definition purposes, a research university offers substantial doctoral programs in the sciences and other fields, pursues significant funded research in the hundreds of millions of dollars (or its equivalent), and has a faculty who possess credentials and achievements that are well-known and well-regarded both within and outside of the nation where it is located. In the case of the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, we have used established performance and ranking guides (see below). At this time we do not know of comparable rankings of research universities in other countries. If applying from outside of the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, please submit documentation regarding the university's doctoral programs in the sciences and other fields, its research funding, and its faculty credentials and achievements.

Note Bene: While we are not capable of processing applications that are not written in English, the language of discourse and publication of a project need not be English.
